The ZOOM House program is a broad-based comprehensive community initiative. It is dedicated to removing barriers and ensuring families complete the program with employment that will enable them to secure career jobs, good housing, as well as become productive, independent members of the community.
The ZOOM House program serves families regardless of race, age, ethnicity, religion, or sexual preference. *
In order to be considered for the program, applicants must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Be a resident of a shelter or transitional housing, or within five days of eviction and lacking resources for housing
Currently working at least part-time or attending school
Have dependent children under the age of 12
Be drug and alcohol free
In addition, all ZOOM House participants are expected to play an active role in developing life goals, pursuing supportive relationships and seeking increased economic independence.
Selection Process
The process for selection will begin with a completed application. The ZOOM Family Advocate will verify the information provided and contact references. Applicants will also be asked to interview with the ZOOM Staff. A waiting list will be maintained but the ZOOM House program reserves the right to close applications at anytime.
