The ZOOM House Staff

Maureen "Mo" O'Keefe is the ZOOM House Family Advocate. She has been at the ZOOM House since September 2006. She is employed by Simpson Housing Services and has been an employee there since March of 2006. Mo provides weekly advocacy for the ZOOM House Transitional Families by providing on-going support services, family education, job search resources, budget plans, personal goal plans and numerous other resources for all participants in the program. Mo spent three years working in South Central Utah as a counselor for at risk youth, ages 13-18, in a Residential Treatment Program. Mo is a Certified Community Suicide Prevention Instructor, Certified Motivational Interviewing Instructor, Certified PCS (Positive Control Systems) participant and brings her many life experiences to the ZOOM House Program. Mo’s passion is working with children/youth as she sees them as our future leaders and keepers of the Earth.

Kathryn Nelson provides administrative and management services to ZOOM House. She provides coordination and key communication support between and among the property manager, family advocate, and the Board of Directors. Ms. Nelson performs administrative functions associated with day-to-day operations of ZOOM. In cooperation with the Family Advocate, she coordinates work of volunteers in support of ZOOM House activities. She has a AA degree in Senior Accounting from the Minnesota School of Business and brings many years of office management experience to ZOOM House. Ms. Nelson also serves on the Augustana Care Center Auxiliary Board of Directors.
