ZOOM House Board of Directors

 

Joanna Accola – Joanna joined the ZOOM Board in February 2016. Joanna got to know ZOOM through Zion Lutheran Church (its founding organization). Joanna brings her experience as a legal professional and South Minneapolis resident to ZOOM. She values the stability, support, and community ZOOM offers its residents.

Jackie Arnason –

Darren Aune – Darren joined the board in 2015 and serves as Treasurer.  His “day job” is providing strategic chief financial officer services as a partner with B2B CFO.  Darren has a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Bethel University and serves as a student mentor through BethelBiz.  He and his wife Nancy have two children and two grandchildren.

Meta Carlson – Meta was called to serve as pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in 2012 and is an ex-officio ZOOM House Board Member.  She is passionate about creating and nurturing healthy relationships between church and community.  Meta loves living and working in South Minneapolis.

Bryana Grovender – Bryana assumed the ZOOM Board position February 2016. Bry became a part of the board to gain a better understanding of how she can help those transition out of homelessness. She loves helping others be successful and fulfilled in their work and life, it makes the world a better place for all of us. Bry has a Master’s of Human Resources and Development from the University of Minnesota. Her expertise in organization development, change management and past development experience will help ZOOM as it continues to grow in our community. When she’s not at work, she is quenching my thirst for outdoor adventures with her family.

Douglas Harrison –

Bror Herrick –  Bror is new to the ZOOM House Board in 2016. He came to know ZOOM by attending galas and other fundraising events over the last several years. Bror has a Bachelor’s degree in economics and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. He currently he works in Administration at United Hospital in St. Paul and lives in Roseville with his wife Olivia.

Randy Madson – Randy joined the ZOOM House Board in 2013 and assumed the position of Board President in February 2014. Randy is a business executive who has held management consulting or staff positions at companies such as Optum, Allina, Best Buy, and Deluxe. Randy, his wife Linda, and three children live a few blocks away from ZOOM House in South Minneapolis and attend Bethlehem Lutheran Church, a partner congregation for ZOOM House. Randy brings deep professional expertise to ZOOM House, including business planning, leading organizational change, program and project management, and building constructive and lasting relationships.

Matthew Metz –  Matt was heavily active in volunteering, fundraising and serving on the Board in the early days of ZOOM House.  After some time away from ZOOM, he is returning to continue his support of ZOOM’s mission.  Matthew served as a school principal for 24 years before transitioning into organizational development for Fairview in 2013.  He brings an expertise in education, organizational change, leadership development and working relationally with a wide range of people.

Hilary Sonstegard – Hilary joined the ZOOM House board in 2016.  She learned about ZOOM through volunteering with Mom’s Ministry at Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she and her husband and two children are active members.  Hilary works for US Bank, and loves the wonderful year-round outdoor activities in our City.

ZOOM House Working Committees

Committees meet 6-12 times per year. Current committees include: Community Life, Finance, Fundraising, Event Planning, Marketing, Outreach, and Personnel.
